Why people try and push this USF/UCF game as a "big deal" is beyond me. UCF is merely a tune-up for USF. The Bulls have outscored the Knights 119-43 in the three games so far, and won by 52 last year. And you wonder why USF wants out of this game? 1-AA teams are more challenging at this point.

The Maryland-Middle Tennessee on September 6 should be interesting. Virginia barely escaped Murfreesboro with a last minute win last year.

Thanks for the comment. I pretty much agree, but it will be tough for the non-BCS schools to pull off victories. Memphis has more than a puncher's chance if Louisville doesn't get their defense straightened out....

I like your top 10, but may mix it up a bit. I think L'ville/Memphis may be a top two for all the implications you mentioned.

My favs to win in these ten; Georgia, Ball State, L'ville, tOSU, SMU, Michy State, BYU, USF, Rice (although UNT could easily win this game), and Bobby's Ark. The underdogs will win a few of these. Too early in the season and the dog is always looked past.

I would also throw in USF/kansas. Not a lot of hype going in, and I think it could be a good one. Go Bulls!
