It wasn’t always all cheers for the Florida Gators when they played in National Title game. Nebraska laid a 62-24 whipping on the Gators in the 1995 Fiesta Bowl. Frazier garnered his third straight National Title Game MVP Award. He finished with 199 yards and 2 TDs on the ground, and another 105 yards and a TD through the air. The highlight of the game was a 75 yard run by Frazier with multiple broken tackles as the third quarter ended. Here is a video of that run.

Fans of the Buckeyes and the Gators apparently made a bet prior to the National Championship Game, with the winner permited to place a statue of their mascot on the campus of the loser. Poor “Albert,” the Gator, had a relatively short lifespan living in Columbus.

Last week, we told you a little bit about North Fort Myers (FL) running back Noel Devine, who signed a letter of intent to join the West Virginia Mountaineers for the 2007 season. While there are still many questions as to the status of his academic eligibility, what is certain is that the kid is a world class runner. This highlight reel looks like it was taken from a video game commercial, but Noel Devine is for real.

Unlike Big Ben, Kordell does not have Super Bowl ring, but he was also a long-time quarterback with the Steelers.

Check out his 70-yard bomb against Michigan, while playing for Colorado, in 1994.

He has a Super Bowl ring but check out this throw by Ben Roethlisberger to lead Miami (OH) over Akron.

You Tubesday: Geez Thanks Chris

Here is a little hint for people in the future, if you know a secret don’t tell Chris Myers. Ian Johnson learned this the hard way when he proposed to his soon to be wife at the end of the Fiesta Bowl. Watch and see…

Today, we go back two years to revisit one of the most amazing catches you will ever see. Tyrone Prothro, a receiver from Alabama, catches a 43-yard touchdown behind the helmet of his defender, Jasper Faulk of Southern Miss. If you will recall, Prothro, a two-time All-SEC performer, suffered a terrible leg injury later on in the season against Florida and missed the remainder of the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He is attempting to return to the Tide for his senior season in 2007.

You gotta love when parents interfere in their kids’ lives. You know there is a certain Colorado Buffalo player that knows his parents wrote this letter that makes head coach Dan Hawkins go off in the video below. And it is also pretty certain that after hearing this rant, that players balls went up into his stomach.

It doesn’t matter if you are a product of the system or not when someone throws for 5549 yards with 58 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions you have to take notice. If that touchdown to interception ratio doesn’t catch your eye the 72.9 percent completion percentage might. In his two years starting for the Hawaii Warriors, Brennan has thrown for 9800 yards and 93 touchdowns with 25 interceptions. He is a legitimate Heisman Trophy Candidate for next year. Here is a video of his highlights of 2006.

It is always hard to compare high school athletes to those in the NFL and even in college, but it is fun to speculate who they might emulate the most. Thanks to my good friend Mike Rizzo, he found this little highlight video of a player being touted as the next Vince Young. The awards are already piling up for this young superstar. Terrelle Pryor has offers from over 30 schools already. Most of them are looking at him at both football and basketball.

He has the makeup of a great dual threat quarterback with his 6 foot 6 inch and 210 pound frame. In his junior season for Jeannette High School in Pennsylvania he completed 92 of 163 passes for 1,732 yards and rushed for 1,676 yards on 197 attempts. He threw for 15 touchdowns, ran for 13, and caught 1 touchdown. Rivals.com tabbed him as the junior of the year. Let me tell you that this guy is worth every bit of hype he is getting. I have personally seen him play twice, once on field level and watched him numerous other times on television. So check him out in the video below.
