With the Big Ten being done with play and more and more teams getting closer (or further away) from bowl eligibility, I was able to make some better guesses this week. But they still are guesses. There are a lot of games this week (Hawaii/Boise State) that will clear up the picture even more. Navy is the only team that has accepted a Bowl Bid so far.

One note, these projections are based on the standings now and how I think they will play out throughout the rest of the season. They are not solely based on the standings right now. I also tried to no pick teams with only 5 wins, but if I thought they had a good chance of getting to 6, I included them.

the Gator and Sun cant both pick a BE team. Its one or the other so youll need to adjust accordingly and put a BE team back in the Papa John Bowl

Sorry, Michigan State will NOT be in the Motor City Bowl, according to MCB CEO George Perles. Michigan State, which beat Indiana, Penn State, and Purdue, is a LOCK for the Insight Bowl and possible Champs Bowl.

Okay ES I can agree with you on the Insight, but PSU is going to the Champs. I am pretty certain about that.

Brian - only way MSU goes to Champs bowl is if Illinois gets 2nd Big Ten big into BCS. Slim chance, but possible; if so, every team jumps up, including, Penn State — jumps up a notch to Alamo Bowl.

So, MSU will not leap frog over Joe Pa, but rather I say Champs as an outside shot for all Big Ten teams to move up….

So where does last year’s cinderella go? I don’t see Boise State on your list. I see lesser teams from the WAC however no Boise State. Looks like the 4th time is the charm or will just waiting for final bowl lineup will be better?

where is Mississippi State on your list? You gotta give Croom some credit for what he has done this year. The Dawgs deserve a bowl bid.

I hope to update this sometime this week. You are right on with the Bulldogs, Croom had a heck of a year and they will go to a bowl game.
