Erik Ainge was having a stellar season in 2006 until a pesky ankle injury slowed him down. When he tried to play on the injured ankle, he ended up hurting the other one too. Ainge was working his way up many people’s Heisman list until that injury, but he was hoping 2007 would be his year, but 2007 is starting like 2006 ended. Tennessee started spring practice late in February to take advantage of the nice southern weather, but got some not so sunny news when they found out Ainge will miss spring practice because of a a partially torn meniscus. He will have surgery to repair it next week.
