50 Best of the Non-BCS: Number 13

We're getting down to the nitty-gritty, checking in with our third Central Michigan player to make the countdown. Something tells me we still have one more Chippewa player to get to after today...

# 13: WR Antonio Brown, Central Michigan

The Verdict: I don't know if I could pick one word to describe Central Michigan's all-purpose athlete, who seems to embody every scouting cliché from 'dynamic' to 'versatile' to 'OMG that guy is the most explosive athlete on the field.' That being said, it's impossible not to describe Brown as anything but the above, especially when one considers that in addition to his 998 receiving yards, Brown also led the Nation in punt return average during the 2008 season. A first team All-MAC selection at both wide receiver and punt returner in 2008, the scary part about Brown is that it can be argued that he had an even better freshman year in 2007. The MAC's Freshman of the Year in 2007, Brown smashed the NCAA's mark for all-purpose yards for a rookie performer, and finished the year with a ridiculous 102 receptions. While he certainly benefits from Central Michigan's offensive system (not to mention an incredible supporting cast), the 5-foot-10 Brown is clearly the conference's best overall athlete, and gives the Chippewas a dynamic receiving combination with fellow countdown member Bryan Anderson.
