Woop! Woop! Yeah, I know this is hardly new news to anyone, but it seems like it is official now! Sometimes that opportunity to come back works in your favor, and sometimes it doesn’t. But that is what college football is all about. Not the trickeration of having your team run off sides before the ball is kicked to chew up time on the clock. That’s just skulduggery!

One thing that will change is that teams will only have 15 seconds to run a play after a TV timeout. So all you scoreboard operators out there need to lay off the John Daniels and concentrate on the task at hand, m’kay? Let’s don’t make ths any harder than it has to be!

A celebration of the highest magnitude is in order! So call your friends, and wake the neighbors! It’s party time!

Fans of the Buckeyes and the Gators apparently made a bet prior to the National Championship Game, with the winner permited to place a statue of their mascot on the campus of the loser. Poor “Albert,” the Gator, had a relatively short lifespan living in Columbus.

Eddie Robinson was a fixture on the sidelines of Grambling for 56 years and has a record 408 wins in college football, but we have learned today (Via ESPN Radio) that Robinson has died at the age of 88. Robinson was hospitalized Tuesday with what people were calling a “setback”. He had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Last week, we told you a little bit about North Fort Myers (FL) running back Noel Devine, who signed a letter of intent to join the West Virginia Mountaineers for the 2007 season. While there are still many questions as to the status of his academic eligibility, what is certain is that the kid is a world class runner. This highlight reel looks like it was taken from a video game commercial, but Noel Devine is for real.
